TRAVELSAVERS Canada says it has added six independent travel agencies to its network in just two months, representing a combined $76.4 million in preferred partner sales.

The latest additions, combined with more than $10 million in new business added through affiliations earlier this year, put the network on track to surpass $100 million in new business in 2026. Another six agencies are expected to join by the end of the year.

The new agencies are Groupe Voyages VP in Dorval, Que.; Travel Potions in Carstairs, Alta.; Ali Travel in Richmond Hill, Ont.; Sea Courses and Adventure House Travel, both based in Burlington, ON, and Guide Me Away in Vancouver, B.C.

The expansion follows double-digit agency growth for TRAVELSAVERS Canada in 2025.

“Independent agencies want the freedom to develop their businesses according to their own vision, but that doesn’t mean they want to do it alone,” said Jane Clementino, senior vice president and general manager, TRAVELSAVERS Canada, in a press release.

“What truly sets us apart is the personalized guidance our Business Analysts provide. They take the time to understand each agency’s individual goals, challenges and opportunities. Then they partner closely with owners to strengthen performance and maximize profitability.”

TRAVELSAVERS Canada said its Business Analysts work directly with agency owners to identify growth opportunities and connect them with technology, marketing, industry relationships, events and professional development.

Supporting independent growth

For Michelle Gammond, owner of Travel Potions, joining the network was about finding a partner that could support the agency's growth while preserving its boutique approach.

“When I started Travel Potions, I knew exactly what I wanted it to be - a boutique agency with experienced, knowledgeable advisors and a really strong focus on the human side of travel,” said Gammond in a statement. “My goal isn’t to build the biggest agency. I want to build an exceptional one, so I needed a partner that understood what we were building and could help us grow without losing what makes Travel Potions different.”

Gammond said conversations with Emma Madsen, director of business development at TRAVELSAVERS Canada, helped solidify her decision.

“Emma understood what I was building, what was important to me and where I wanted the agency to go,” Gammond said. “That personal connection, combined with the strength of TRAVELSAVERS Canada’s supplier relationships, networking, marketing and technology resources, made it feel like the right fit.”

Guide Me Away is also entering a new phase as an independent agency.

Founder and CEO Lia Hershkovitz has more than 20 years of travel industry experience, including seven years in agency leadership.

“As Guide Me Away entered a new chapter as a fully independent agency, I felt it was the right time to make a change and look at what kind of network would best support where we are today and where we want to go next,” stated Hershkovitz. “From the beginning, TRAVELSAVERS Canada felt personal and welcoming, with a strong sense of community and a genuine interest in understanding Guide Me Away.”

Maintaining the agency's brand and personalized approach was also a priority, she said.

“Our work depends heavily on the relationship between an advisor and a client,” she continued. “TRAVELSAVERS Canada allows us to maintain that approach while benefitting from the resources of a larger network, giving me more time to focus on our advisors and clients.”
