Tier One advisors cook up Mexican feast with Royalton & Sunwing
Tier One Travel advisors recently came together in Calgary for a fun afternoon that blended culinary creativity with professional connection.
The group gathered at Blue Flame Kitchen for a hands-on Mexican cooking class, offering travel professionals the opportunity to collaborate, learn, and enjoy the vibrant flavours of one of their clients’ favourite travel destinations.
The event was hosted by Heather Gerrard of Sunwing Vacations and Domenica Aresta of Royalton Hotels & Resorts, who welcomed advisors for an engaging and relaxed experience centered around food and community.
Throughout the afternoon, participants worked together to prepare a variety of dishes inspired by classic Mexican cuisine.
Under expert guidance, advisors rolled up their sleeves and prepared a menu that featured chicken al pastor, chorizo-style black beans, Mexican rice, and fresh pico de gallo.

The meal was complemented by traditional sides such as pickled red cabbage, while the popular dessert tres leches cake provided a sweet finale to the culinary experience.
“The event created a relaxed and enjoyable setting for advisors to spend time together while experiencing the vibrant flavours and culinary traditions that make Mexico such a beloved destination for travellers,” Tier One wrote on its blog. “Experiences like this help strengthen the connections that make the travel industry such a collaborative and community-driven space.”
