The Travel Industry Council of Ontario has laid 28 charges against Trip Support Inc. and one charge against Victor Farjami, the company's officer and director.

Trip Support Inc. faces:

  • 12 counts of failing to deposit money in a trust account
  • 16 counts of failing to provide travel services or a refund after receiving payment

Farjami was charged with one count of being an officer and director of a corporation and failing to take reasonable care to prevent the corporation from committing an offence.

TICO alleges that Trip Support Inc. accepted consumer funds for travel, which were not fully deposited into the company's trust account, nor were the travel services or refunds provided to the consumers.

Trip Support Inc. was a TICO-registered travel agency until November 4, 2024, when the company voluntarily terminated its registration.

As a result of the closure, the Ontario Travel Industry Compensation Fund supported 41 consumers who did not receive their travel services or a refund, paying out $32,328.

Farjami will appear in court on March 27, 2026 in Newmarket, Ontario.

Individuals convicted of offences relating to the Travel Industry Act, 2002 are subject to fines of up to $50,000 and/or prison terms of up to two years.

Corporations are subject to fines of up to $250,000.
