Transat Distribution Canada (TDC) recognized 30 franchise and affiliated agency owners from across Canada during its latest Bravo Excellence Club trip.

The annual incentive trip, which has been running for more than 20 years, recognizes TDC owners for outstanding sales performance.

This year’s trip was an eight-night Mediterranean sailing in partnership with Norwegian Cruise Line and Air Transat. Winners were invited to bring a guest.

Portugal and Spain itinerary

Recipients arrived in Lisbon with Air Transat before setting out on a Mediterranean itinerary that included Portimão, Seville, Motril, Gibraltar, Ibiza, Palma and Barcelona.

The trip focused on cultural and culinary experiences across Portugal and Spain, with participants able to choose from excursions such as medieval castle visits, wine routes, a cruise in the Bay of Gibraltar and around the Rock and olive oil production experiences.

“There are corporate events. And then there are moments like the Bravo Excellence Club trip,” said Karine Gagnon, general manager of TDC.

“I truly believe this is much more than a recognition trip. It’s a unique opportunity to engage in meaningful conversations, to get to know one another on a human level, to discuss business realities and, above all, to create lasting memories together,” she added.

For the general manager, “these authentic moments are a powerful reminder that the TDC network is made up of extraordinary, passionate and deeply committed people. I am sincerely grateful to have shared this memorable week with our owners.”

Recognition onboard

TDC says the Bravo Excellence Club trip is focused on recognition and connection, with no training or professional development component.

Dianne Jackson, director, franchise and affiliate members and a member of TDC’s leadership team, said the trip is about more than rewarding sales success.

“Although these trips are 100% about enjoyment—with no training or professional development component—they are so much more than a simple reward. They bring us back to what truly unites us: the joy of travel and discovery," she said.

"Our members constantly tell us how much they enjoy being together—and they prove it through their near-unconditional participation in our optional activities. Every evening, everyone looked forward to gathering for cocktails, which quickly became a can’t-miss rendezvous. To me, that speaks volumes about the strong bonds within the TDC network and the quality of the relationships we have built and are fortunate to maintain.”

The trip also included a Bravo Excellence Club gala evening to recognize the recipients’ achievements, business journeys and commitment throughout 2025.

During the evening, Gagnon was joined by Renée Boisvert, president of TDC and vice-president, tour operator products and sales at Transat, to thank the recipients.

Recognition also came from Jackson and her Quebec counterpart Colette Girard, along with Julie Sareault, commercial director at Transat.

Gagnon also acknowledged the role of agency teams, spouses and partners in supporting the winning owners.

“Your actions and the direction you provide to your teams as leaders are decisive. Your ability to mobilize your teams, to create a clear vision and to focus efforts where they matter most—that is leadership. And it is the sum of all these actions that enables us to achieve the objectives we set for ourselves.”
