Sunwing to reopen Grand Palladium Select Bavaro with Family Selection in the Dominican Republic

Sunwing Vacations has announced that the Grand Palladium Select Bavaro will reopen on December 15, 2025, following extensive renovations and the addition of Family Selection room categories. 

The property, formerly known as Grand Palladium Bavaro Suites, is now part of the Grand Palladium Select Collection.

The update includes refurbished accommodations, a redesigned lobby, upgraded pools and expanded dining and bar options. 

A key addition is the Family Selection program, previously offered only at Palladium resorts in Mexico. 

The experience includes private check-in, an exclusive family restaurant, a dedicated pool with service, a private beach area, and butler support.

The resort also features a wide range of family amenities such as kids’ and teen clubs, a splash park, mini golf and a separate kids’ section at the main pool. 

Sports facilities include basketball and tennis courts, soccer fields, paddle courts, beach volleyball and badminton.

Travel advisors can book clients for stays starting December 15, 2025. 

Bookings made by September 30, 2025, for travel before October 31, 2026, include additional incentives such as two children staying free in Family Selection categories, reduced rates, and $600 USD in resort credits.
