Friesen Travel Group expands in Ontario with strategic acquisition
Big things are happening at Friesen Travel Group.
The company says it has acquired three established storefront locations in London, ON, marking a significant milestone in its expansion across Southwestern Ontario.
The acquisition brings the company’s total to 16 storefronts across the province, with a 17th location set to open in Orillia later this summer.
Operating under the Expedia Cruises banner, Friesen Travel Group now supports a growing network of over 550 travel consultants across Northern and Southwestern Ontario.
“This acquisition is a key part of our growth strategy,” said Shawn Friesen, CEO at Friesen Travel Group, in a press release posted to LinkedIn. “We believe that storefronts are the anchor of our success. They allow us to build meaningful relationships within the communities we serve and deliver the personalized service our clients value.”

The acquisition brings with it several advantages.
By expanding into a high-potential region like London, Friesen says it will strengthen its market reach and deepen its connection with the community through trusted, local storefronts.
It opens the door to new growth opportunities for both consultants and staff, fostering career development within a supportive network. The company says it also enhances its ability to offer a unique blend of personalized, in-person service alongside the convenience of digital tools.
“As the travel industry continues to rebound, Friesen Travel Group remains committed to its mission: helping people create memories that last a lifetime,” the company said.
