Friesen Travel Group expands with 18th Ontario agency in St. Thomas

Storefront travel agencies are proving that face-to-face service still has a powerful place in an increasingly digital world.

Friesen Travel Group is leaning into that demand, expanding its Southwestern Ontario presence with the opening of a new Expedia Cruises retail location in St. Thomas.

Located at 310 Wellington Street, Unit 5, the new storefront marks the travel group's 18th agency in Ontario.

Operating under the Expedia Cruises banner, the location will provide travellers with in-person access to Vacation Consultants who can assist with cruise vacations, all-inclusive resorts, flights, hotels and travel insurance.

The company said the new agency is designed as a modern, welcoming space where St. Thomas residents can receive personalized vacation-planning services closer to home.

"We are incredibly excited to bring Expedia Cruises to St. Thomas," said Shawn Friesen, president of Friesen Travel Group, in a statement.

"Our London teams have a long history of helping St. Thomas residents create unforgettable travel memories. Now, we are bringing that high-touch, face-to-face service closer to home, making it easier than ever for our neighbors to plan their next great adventure."
