Nancy Benetton-Sampath, associate vice-president, LogiMonde Media, is pleased to announce the appointment of Christine Hogg as a journalist at PAXnews.com.

She will be based at the company's Toronto office. Christine will be responsible for covering news and events, and publishing the online travel trade magazine, with the goal of strengthening LogiMonde's mission to provide the best media services to travel professionals across Canada and internationally.

Christine’s career in journalism began while completing her Honours Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from the University of Toronto. Upon completion of her degree, she went on to freelance for several print and digital outlets, including PAXnews.com. A traveller at heart, she has made her way through parts of Central America, Europe, and North America, and is excited to dive into the travel media industry further.

"As a journalist, I've covered stories for a series of beats, but travel is by far my favourite. I'm very excited to showcase my skills as both a writer and photographer, in order to contribute to PAX's success in the Canadian travel market, while learning and growing amongst a team of like-minded individuals," Christine said. "I had the pleasure of working as a freelance journalist for PAXnews.com earlier this year, and I can’t wait to see what the future will bring."

Alongside her background in writing, Christine also has experience working in photography and video. Her most recent photography endeavours took her to Nicaragua in May 2017, where she assisted and co-facilitated a photo-documentary workshop on behalf of the non-profit group she volunteers for, Photographers Without Borders. Christine is skilled in photography and video production and editing, which go hand-in-hand with her ability to bring news stories to life.

“I am very excited to have Christine join our innovative team of journalists and am confident that her well-rounded skills will further enhance the excellent coverage of the Canadian travel industry provided by PAX.”
